funding rate
In short and in plain language
The funding rate says what share of the costs a programme pays.
The one who applies pays the rest.
Some programmes pay more if a town has little money.
Definition
The funding rate states what share of the eligible costs of a project is covered by the funding. The applicant bears the remainder as its own contribution. Some programmes set a higher funding rate for certain applicants, such as financially weak municipalities.
