outdoor sports ground

In short and in plain language

An outdoor sports ground is a place for sport in the open air.

Examples are a football pitch, a running track or a tennis court.

Landscaping firms often build and renovate such places. Towns can get money from programmes for this.

Definition
An outdoor sports ground is an open-air sports facility, such as a grass or artificial turf pitch, a running track or a tennis court. Building and renovating such facilities is part of sports ground construction and therefore often of landscaping. There are dedicated funding programmes for their renovation, for example for municipal facilities.
