Process and timing
What happens to my existing website during the rebuild?
In short and in plain language
Your old site stays online until the new one is ready.
We build the new site on a separate preview address. Only you and we know it. It is blocked for search engines.
Only at the switch does your domain point to the new site. The domain is your address on the internet.
We redirect old links to the matching new pages.
Answer
It stays reachable until the new site is finished. We build on a separate preview address that only you and we know and that is blocked for search engines. Only when we switch over is your domain pointed at the new site. Old page paths are redirected to the matching new ones, so that links and directory entries do not run into nothing.
