Maintenance and hosting · net, plus VAT

from 39 € per month net
  • No annual contract, no minimum term, a monthly cancellation is enough
  • Small text edits are covered by the monthly fee, not invoiced separately
  • One contact on a direct line instead of a ticket system
  • The website and all its content remain the property of your business

Maintenance and hosting start at 39 € net per month, plus VAT. That covers hosting in German data centres, the SSL certificate, management of your domain, regular updates, daily backups, availability checks and small text edits within the agreed scope. Cancellable monthly, with no minimum term. For comparison: the website itself costs from 1,490 € net as a one-off, from 2,900 € net in a larger version, and preparing existing photos starts from 290 € net.

On the day it goes live, a website is complete, current and fast. A year later things look different: the opening hours are wrong, the colleague in the team photo left long ago, the contact details still show the old mobile number, and in the background updates have piled up that nobody has installed. In landscape gardening there is the added problem that between April and October nobody in the business has time to deal with any of it. That is what maintenance and hosting are for: we take over ongoing operation, and you send us one sentence whenever something changes. From 39 € net a month, cancellable monthly.

Why a website needs ongoing care

A website is not a sign bolted to the workshop wall once and forgotten. It runs on a server, it uses software, and software ages. Security gaps become known and are closed, browsers change their behaviour, certificates expire, search services re-weight loading times. If none of that is followed up, the unpleasant part usually arrives quietly rather than with a bang: the site loads more slowly, the form stops delivering messages, the browser shows a warning. And because nobody visits their own website daily, it often only comes to light when a customer rings up asking whether the business still exists.

The second reason is editorial. A landscaping website lives on project images and on details that are true: which trades you offer, which towns you work in, whether you are currently looking for apprentices. If the portfolio gallery has shown the same six pictures for three years, every prospect notices. Maintenance therefore does not only mean keeping the technology current, but also making sure the terrace finished in the summer appears in the gallery by autumn, without anyone in the business having to deal with file sizes and image crops.

What maintenance and hosting include

The monthly fee from 39 € net covers the whole of ongoing operation: everything technically necessary to keep the site reachable, secure and fast, plus the small editorial adjustments that come up over the year. It is cut deliberately so that a changed phone number or a corrected service description does not produce a separate invoice, which means you do not hesitate to get in touch. What belongs to the agreed scope in your case is put in writing before we start, so there are no questions of interpretation later.

Six things that run every month

Installing updates

Server software and every component in use are kept current and mutually compatible. Updates are tested before they go in, never installed blind.

Daily backup

The complete website is backed up daily and several generations are kept. The backups are checked for restorability, not merely created.

Availability checks

An automated request checks regularly that the site responds. If it goes down, we find out before the first customer is left hanging on the phone.

Small text edits

Opening hours, phone numbers, a new sentence on a service page, a note about the works holiday: you write to us and we put it in place.

New project images

Once a job is finished you send the photos, and they appear in the portfolio gallery, cropped and assigned to the right trade.

A named contact

You reach a direct line and write to a person who knows your site. No ticket system, no queue, no rotating responsibilities.

  • Hosting in German data centres, including the SSL certificate and its automatic renewal
  • Management of your domain, so it does not lapse over an overlooked invoice
  • Email forwarding and mailboxes, where set up through us
  • Regular updating of all technical components, tested on a copy beforehand
  • Daily backup with several generations kept and restoration verified
  • Automated availability checks around the clock
  • Small text and image edits within the agreed scope, with no separate invoice
  • A check that the enquiry form is actually delivering messages

What is invoiced separately

The clear boundary matters just as much as the list of inclusions, so that no invoice arrives in the autumn that you were not expecting. The monthly fee covers operation and small adjustments. Anything that genuinely increases the size of the website or changes its structure is a small project of its own and is priced beforehand. In that case you receive a short message with the price, and we only begin once you agree. No additional amount arises without your approval.

  • New pages, for instance for an additional trade such as pond building or winter maintenance, or for a further operating town. An overview of the topics is available under industries and regions.
  • Building a careers section with job ads and a short application after the event.
  • Preparing image material that is not directly usable: from 290 € net, described under photos for your website.
  • A larger rebuild of the page structure, a change of brand or a full relaunch.
  • Legal texts that have to be adjusted because of new requirements, where the adjustment goes beyond a plain text correction.

Where is the line between small and large?

The simple rule of thumb: anything that changes existing content is small. Anything that adds new content is a project of its own. A changed phone number, a corrected sentence, a swapped image, a note about the works holiday, three new project photos in the gallery: included. A completely new service page for a trade that is not yet on the website: separate, with the price named in advance. When in doubt, just ask; we tell you up front which of the two categories your request falls into.

Cancellable monthly, no subscription trap

Maintenance and hosting are a service, not an access key. You do not sign an annual contract, there is no minimum term and no automatic renewal for another twelve months. An informal message before the end of the month is enough. That is deliberate, because a contract that only continues because cancelling is tedious has not earned the money. We assume you will stay next month because the service does its job, not because a deadline has passed.

The second and more important point: the website belongs to your business, whether or not you leave the maintenance with us. With a monthly website-builder subscription that is not the case. There you are essentially renting access, and when the payments stop, the site stops too. With us you pay for the website once, from 1,490 € net, and after that it is an asset of your business like the trailer in the yard. The domain is registered in your name, the copy and images are yours, and if you one day hand the business over to somebody else, the website goes with it.

What actually happens if you cancel

You take your website with you, not just the address

If you end maintenance and hosting, we hand over everything that belongs to the website: the complete files, the content in a readable format, the images at original size and the access credentials. On request the domain is transferred to the provider you name, and we pass on the technical details your new provider needs. We hold nothing back and charge nothing for the handover itself. Changing provider should be a decision, not an obstacle. If you are currently weighing up whether an existing site should be rebuilt or continued, the overview of our services is the better starting point.

  • Full handover of all files, content and images at original size
  • Domain transfer to the provider of your choice, with no delaying tactics
  • Handover of the technical details to your new provider
  • No exit fee and no locking of your content

Would you like somebody looking after your website while you are out on site?

We review the current state, even if the site did not come from us, and tell you what makes sense and what you can leave aside.

Describe your request

The website itself is billed once, from 1,490 € net, or from 2,900 € net in a larger version. Maintenance and hosting are voluntary and usually begin after the first year, because the first year of hosting is already included. The full breakdown is available under pricing.

Doing it yourself or having it done

Three ways of handling ongoing operation

A factual comparison. Which route suits you depends on how much time is genuinely available in the business.

Taking it all on yourself

  • No monthly fee and full control over every step
  • Updates and backups have to be assigned to somebody in the business
  • Between April and October there is usually no time for it
  • If the site goes down, the customer normally notices first

Nobody is responsible

  • Costs nothing at first and goes unnoticed for a long time
  • Details go out of date and the images stay the same for years
  • An expired certificate produces a warning in the browser
  • Without a backup, an outage can be final in the worst case
Our approach

Maintenance and hosting in a monthly fee

  • A fixed amount from 39 € net a month, easy to budget
  • Technology, backups and availability run in the background
  • Small changes without an extra invoice, which is why you do get in touch
  • Cancellable monthly, and the website stays the property of the business

A reference from the trade

We look after the web presence of Viktor Waldbauer Garten- und Landschaftsbau in Nordstemmen. The business works with sand-set slabs, builds terraces and cisterns and lays out complete garden schemes. How a website for a business like that is put together is set out on the landscaping website page; the questions the enquiry form settles in advance are described there too.

The draft shows structure and handling: trades you can filter by group, a slider between the original state and the finished garden, the route to handover. The business in it is invented.
